Three generations of commitment to quality
In 1945, brothers Charles and Cyrus Wightman climbed into Charlie’s 1929 Ford Model A pickup truck and drove to Laurens, New York, for their first logging and milling job. With little more than an Ireland sawmill, a Clear Track Crawler tractor and a drive to succeed, Wightman Brothers was born.
In 1974, Dan and David, sons of Charles Wightman, joined the business. Under their vision, Wightman’s expanded operations and added dry kilns.
Today, Matthew, Naomi and Natalie comprise the third generation of Wightmans with a dedication to preserving and deepening the family’s place as the premier source for high quality, regionally grown woods for architectural, building and specialty applications.
